Sept Come and learn how to make beautiful sugarpaste roses to decorate any celebration cake or simply liven up
your cupcakes or learn to make delicate blossoms, leaves & frills.
Summer Drop In - this
week only on Tuesday morning This is your last chance to take advantage
of our special Summer offer for only £5 for the session. The drop in is for people who'd like to do some knitting
or crochet, but don't want to commit to a course until the holiday period is over. It's mainly for people who already
knit or crochet, but would like some tips or tricks or some confidence building. Drop in for a free coffee and tea or
bring your own cappucino from the 'Bull Pen'. 10am till 12.30pm
Come with your friends
or on your own and relax for a couple of hours with your wool, needles or hook. There will be someone on hand to help.

Mondays (Mornings): Quilting For Beginners (commencing 6th Sept) 10am- 12.30pm This is a great opportunity to learn
quilting techniques from the very beginning. Learn quilting shapes, backing and edgings and try out all the fantastic stitching
on our top of the range Bernina sewing machines. A brilliant class for those who've been wanting to try quilting
with lovely blankets, cushions and bags. Bring your own fabrics, or discuss with Nicki or Jill for some kits available. Cost: £22 per session Tutor: Jill Holden
Mosaics: Broken China Alphabet
Letter 2 day course - Monday & Tuesday 6th & 7th Sept 1pm - 3pm Broken china
is a great way to mosaic. Come and learn to make a mosaic alphabet letter of your choice and learn the techniques so
you can mosaic your own picture frames, boxes, tables, door numbers or anything you like. We have the china crockery here
at the Studio, or if you prefer you can bring your own for a reduced fee of £5 materials cost. Cost: £35 for
two sessions (includes £10 materials cost) Tutor: Learn with Nicki Trench, author of 'Homemade Gifts',
featuring a broken china mosaic letter 'M'.
Sugarpaste: Roses, Blossoms,
Flowers, Leaves 2 day course - Monday & Tuesday 13th/14th Sept 1pm - 3pm On
this course you'll learn to make sugarpase roses, leaves, frills cut out blossoms using dusting techniques. This is a
really rewarding course where you'll gain some useful techniques with expert tuition. Cost: £22 per session
(includes £5 materials cost) Tutor: Learn with Nicki Trench, author of 'Sweet Temptation' and wedding cake
designer with cakes featured in Cosmopolitan Bride, Bride magazine & You & Your Wedding.
Tuesdays: Crochet Class 10am- 12.30pm (ongoing class - join
at any time) Come and learn to crochet. Learn basic crochet techniques
right from the beginning. How to hold the hook, the yarn and to make simple chains, double and trebles. Learn to make a lovely
round cushion cover or a beautiful 'granny square' blanket. Students will learn to crochet at their own pace
in a relaxed and friendly environment. Small class ensures lots of individual attention. Cost: £22 per session

Guide to Crochet.
Tuesdays: Art Class - Drawing and Oil Painting 1.30pm - 3.30pm (commencing 22nd September) Work on your own projects at your own
pace with guidance and direction from Martin Smith, Fine Art Lecturer & Tutor. This is a relaxed and friendly class aimed
at all levels. Bring your own materials. Martin will guide you on good suppliers and will give you a materials list.
New students can join at any time; they are taught individually, not as a group. The classes are informal
and social by nature, and students work at their own pace on subjects of their own choice with guidance from the

Wednesdays: Sewing
Class 10am- 12.30pm (ongoing class - join at any time) Come
and learn to sew. From the very basics of learning to thread the sewing machine, the bobbin, practice straight and zig zag
stitches, hemming, sewing seams, cutting and measuring. We will learn to make a reversible bag with gorgeous fabrics and progress
to inserting a zip into a purse or bag.
Students are also welcome who already know how to use the sewing machine,
but would like some practice and guidance. Come to the class and make some lovely projects incl: a patchwork blanket, shopping
bag, zipped purse, bunting and much more. You'll learn to sew at your own pace in a relaxed and friendly environment.
Small class ensures lots of individual attention. Classes are limited to 6 people. When the class is full there will

Friday 10th September and every following Friday:

is a project based sewing class where you'll learn how to use the sewing machine, make some gorgeous projects such as:
patchwork blanket, shopping bag, zipped purse, bunting, cushions, aprons and much more. You'll learn to sew
at your own pace in a relaxed and friendly environment. Small class ensures lots of individual attention. Cost: £22

November
Decorate Your Own Christmas Cake Course Mondays - 3 x 2 hour sessions. 22nd, 29th Nov & 6th
Dec. Time: 1pm - 3pm
Learn to decorate your own cake in time for Christmas.
The skills you'll learn on this course will also enable you to decorate other cakes and give them as gifts in time for
Christmas. You'll not only have your own individual cake at the end of the course, but will learn modelling, cake covering,
icing and sugarcraft skills that you'll be able to transfer to decorating a whole variety of other cakes during the year.
Week 1: We will learn to ice a cake board and marzipan it ready to be
iced the following week. We'll also learn how to make models of a snowman, Father Christmas, reindeer or penguins.
Week 2: Learn to cover your cake with fondant icing. Or for a more elegant look, learn to use
delicate edible dusts to colour fine rolled out icing and make blossoms or sugarpaste Christmas roses.
Week
3: Assemble your cake. Tie ribbons, stick on the models and flowers with Royal icing and finish your cake ready
to take home for your Christmas display.
Cost: £70 for the course (includes modelling icing, colours, dusts) Students must bring their own fruit cake, drum cake board, marzipan and fondant icing. (Please discuss with Nicki at the

Knitting & Sewing Groups The Studio is available
for your own knitting and sewing groups to come and knit or sew together, use a relaxed and comfortable space and have
fun with your knitting group. If you'd like to use the studio for your knitting group, please contact Nicki.
